It would be great if someone more talented than I could add the information of Ricks reoccurring role as Lucifer's "vessel" Vince Vincent on the CW TV show "Supernatural" in season 12. He was in 3 episodes and played a rather important part. 66.183.137.66 (talk) 00:16, 5 April 2020 (UTC)Tessie
From February 2001 through December 2002, Springfield performed in EFX Alive! at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with great success, pleasing both critics and audiences. The show was a hit for its entire run, with Rick adding new songs and segments that made it uniquely his. EFX Alive! ended in December of 2000 - okay, did it end in 2000, even though it didn't begin until 2001? RickK 05:10, 17 Feb 2004 (UTC)
There is a NEW Rick Springfield album put out this year, I changed the date to reflect this and someone put it back to 2004. Why?
In addition to the above statement: Rick Springfield - The Day After Yesterday, (c)&(p)2005 Gomer/DKE Records.
The unsourced statement about Linda Blair allegedly advising Springfield to go into acting has been removed because according to the A&E documentary video "Behind the Image", that advice did not come from Ms. Blair, rather, it came from the ex-wife of a friend of Springfield.
Is Dr. Drake Ramoray, the fictional Doctor played by fictional character Joey Tribbiani, (who, in turn, is played by real actor Matt LeBlanc), on the sitcom Friends inspired by Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital?
If so, this would be obvious, if not convoluted fodder for a trivia section.
I noticed that it says "citation needed" regarding that fact which came from the A&E documentary video "Behind The Image." How does one attribute a televised/available on Video program as a citation here at Wikipedia? or does it need to be something readily found online? I'm sure some other site has that info too.

As of late, there have been several attempts to vandalize this page. People are imputting information here about Springfield's personal life that clearly violates the guidelines for biographies for living persons as stated at the top of this talk page: Controversial material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced. If one goes back into the previous pages, they will see that the "information" was definitely false and/or libelous. For that reason, on 9/26/06, I attempted to put the entry on "semi-protect" but today 9/27/07, I discover it was removed by some "bot." Why? How does one get the necessary page protection back on here? Ladycascadia 12:26, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Blatantly false information re: Springfield's marriage was posted here on February 6. It has been subsequently removed as it is harmful information. Whoever is putting that sort of libel here here needs to read the Wikipedia page re: Biographies of Living Persons, paying particular attention to the section of marital status. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biographies_of_living_persons. Any future attempts to libel this person and claim a non-existent divorce or engagement will be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.251.169.69 (talk) 15:52, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Why aren't his three arrests listed in the Personal Life section? -Jason Reeher — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.39.164.29 (talk) 23:35, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
"He then appeared on Don't Forget The Lyrics in January 2009 to sing "Jessie's Girl" and his new song "What's Victoria's Secret". He stayed until the show was over[when?]. On March 19 2009, he played a gig in support of "Voices of Uganda" at the Key Club in Los Angeles. The gig was co-organized by fellow General Hospital alum, actress Melissa Fitzgerald."
Belongs somewhere else. If such minor appearances belong in the article at all. He doubtless has made dozens of such appearances.202.82.171.186 (talk) 05:57, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I see no purpose in a tag here. What is it that is supposed to be unreferenced? Deb (talk) 21:47, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

He came close to having another top 40 pop hit but during the late 1970s concentrated mostly on a burgeoning acting career, guest starring in a number of prime time television dramas.
How are we supposed to understand this? He had a song that made, say, 45th place? If so, what was the song? Or did he just feel like "could have had a hit," but focused on TV, instead?
The citation quoted as the source for this only says In 1976, 'Wait for Night' and 'Take a Hand' were promising, but Universal dropped him. and then goes on to talk about his TV career. How we get from that source to the current sentence which I'm questioning is a mystery to me. --Eliyahu S Talk 21:42, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
The information re: spouse has been removed as it is incorrect. Springfield did not marry her when she was 18. They married in 1984, and as she was born in 1961, that would put her at age 23.
Biography book removed because it reads more like an advertisement or promotion — Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.251.169.69 (talk) 18:16, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

These sources do not ever belong in External links. I have moved the link farm from there to this talk page where they do belong. Warning: I didn't check them over, so be careful in choosing any references here. Thank you! --Leahtwosaints (talk) 11:44, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm almost certain (based on what it's referencing and the date embeded in the url) that this link

The new link seems to confirm the run extension claim, but not the "as of 2007" claim (which is probably supported by later references)--Otus scops (talk) 19:39, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
I thought I saw Rick Springfield in a children's program as a cartoon character. Something like thru the black board. 98.27.179.69 (talk) 06:27, 10 November 2015 (UTC) my on mind

The music section needs expansion and has been tagged accordingly. It stops abruptly in 1985 and says nothing about any of Springfield's later musical output. (There were three sentences about post-1985 material; however, one was unsourced and the other two were unreliably sourced, so I removed them.) I am no Rick Springfield expert, but there is a bunch of stuff listed in his discography here that is post-1985. It seems to me that there should be at least a few paragraphs about that period.
