Mixed martial arts record from Sherdog

Sharabutdin Magomedov (born 16 May 1994), also known as Shara Bullet is a Russian mixed martial artist[1] and Muay Thai kickboxer[2] who currently competes in the Middleweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).[3]

Background

Born in Dagestan, Russia in 1994, the life of Sharabutdin Magomedov has been marked by controversy and disturbances. Football was the first sport he ever played as a child, but after a general argument with a rival, he was ultimately kicked off the team. This allowed him to realize his love for martial arts.[4]

He started his career in combat sports with boxing, where he had considerable success. Later, after relocating to Moscow, he switched to Muay Thai, where he flourished and won the Russian championship. Despite his success, his low pay and mounting debts made it difficult for him to find training facilities, which is why he opted to switch to MMA.[5]

He injured his right eye in 2016, and because of carelessness, the condition worsened and required eight surgeries over the course of roughly a year and a half.[6]
