Shannon Bream (born Shannon DePuy on December 23, 1970 )^[1] is an American journalist for the Fox News Channel.^[2] She is Fox News's Supreme Court reporter as well as the anchor of America's News Headquarters on Sundays from 12:00-2:00 p.m (Eastern). Bream is also an occasional substitute anchor for Special Report with Bret Baier and America Live with Megyn Kelly.

Born in Tallahassee, Florida, Breen is the only daughter of Marie Norris, a teacher, and Ed DePuy, a Leon County Commissioner. She attended North Florida Christian High School in Tallahassee and graduated in the class of 1988 at the age of 17.^[3]

Breen attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and graduated in 1992 with a degree in business.^[3] While attending Liberty University, someone suggested she enter the Miss Virginia pageant. Breen won the title of Miss Virginia in 1990. She participated in the 1991 Miss America pageant and was one of the top 10 finalists that year.^[3] Her scholarship award covered much of her education.^[4]

After graduating from Liberty University in 1993^[5] , Breen returned to Tallahassee and attended law school at Florida State University. While at law school at Florida State, she won Miss Florida USA and competed in the 1995 Miss USA Pageant. ^[4] She is one of very few women to have competed in these two national pageants representing different states.

After graduation from Florida State University (1996), Breen moved to Tampa, Florida and began a corporate law career.^[3]

Disinterest in law by 1999 led to a career change and in 2000 she took a salary cut to get a chance to be part of television news.^[3] She talked a local news director into letting her have an internship, then an entry-level job writing scripts on the overnight shift at the ABC news affiliate in Tampa WFTS-TV.^[4] To make it work, Bream worked as a corporate lawyer by day and an intern at the station by night.^[3]

In 2001, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, becoming the evening and late-night news for the CBS affiliate, WBTV.^[4] After three years, Bream joined the NBC affiliate ay Washington D.C.'s NBC affiliate, WRC-TV in 2004. At WRC, she was a weekend anchor and covered general assignments.

Bream joined Fox News Channel in November 2007 and is based in the network's Washington, D.C. bureau.

She is married to Sheldon Bream, whose brother is retired Major League baseball player Sid Bream.^[3] They reside in the Washington, D.C. area.
