Mister Grand International (ˈmi-stər • grænd • in-tər-ˈna-sh(ə-)nəl • noun) is an international male beauty pageant that was established in 2017 by Mark Gil Balisagan, Emanuele Amboy, and Eduardo Pillora.[1] The organization's first edition was held at Crossroad Center in Quezon City, Philippines on October 7, 2017. It is the largest male beauty pageant founded in 2017 and is the counterpart to the unaffiliated female beauty pageant, Miss Grand International.[2][3][4][5][6]
The inaugural competition, which has attracted over 30 participating countries since its inception in 2017, aims to develop young men into exemplary leaders through empowerment. The theme, "Embracing Limitless Potentials, Outstanding Sportsmanship & Sensible Masculinity Make Him Grand," reflects the values of the pageant.[7]
The current titleholder of Mister Grand International 2023 is Seif Al Walid Harb from Lebanon. He was crowned by the former titleholder, Michael Pelletier of Switzerland, on January 14, 2024, at Casa De La Cultura Hinojos in Huelva & Seville, Spain.[8]
Mister Grand International Organization seeks to promote friendship, goodwill, and cultural exchange among young men from around the world. Contestants participate in various activities and events, showcasing their talents, intelligence, and physical fitness. The competition aims to provide a platform for contestants to demonstrate their leadership skills and advocate for important social causes. The pageant includes traditional segments such as national costume, swimwear, and formal wear, as well as opportunities for the contestants to engage in community service and charitable endeavors. Winners of Mister Grand International often serve as ambassadors for their respective countries and are expected to champion humanitarian efforts and global awareness.[7]
The organizers of the international male competition have taken the opportunity to assert and clarify that their pageant stands as a separate entity from the female version, Miss Grand International, which is owned by a Thailand-based organization.[9][10] After much consideration and thorough evaluation, the organizers of the competition have announced their decision to bring the globally renowned male beauty pageant organization to the beautiful and vibrant Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago, with the hopes of showcasing the diverse and unique talent that the region has to offer. With meticulous planning and extensive deliberation, the competition organizers have made the firm determination to elevate the global status of male beauty pageantry by introducing the esteemed organization to the captivating and culturally rich twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, aiming to provide a platform for talented individuals to shine on an international scale. Despite the disruptive impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Caribbean continues to maintain its distinction as one of the most visited places in the world, as evidenced by the high number of tourist arrivals to the region. The pageant thrives as it brings a strong presence not just in Trinidad and Tobago but to the Latin American fans and its followers in the region.[10][11][12][13][14][5][15][2]
The festival aims to celebrate not only the local culture and traditions but also to attract tourists and visitors from around the world, fostering an environment of cultural exchange and mutual understanding. The company's expansion strategy focuses not just on increasing market share in existing regions but also on developing new markets and forging strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth and global brand recognition. The organization's mission encompasses not only providing essential services to the community but also advocating for social justice, promoting environmental sustainability, and empowering marginalized groups to create a more equitable society for all.[10]

On January 15, 2024, during the grand final event that took place in Spain, an awkward situation unfolded. The host country's representative's family members rushed onto the stage, creating a scandalous scene and causing chaos in the final night of the competition. They were not pleased by the result, as their friend, the contestant, was not included in the top positions.[14][32] The full details of the video can be seen at Missosology official Facebook page explaining the whole situation.[33]
