Mathias Thyrri (born 26 August 1997) is a Danish badminton player, specializing in doubles play.
In 2023, at the Canada Open, Thyrri and Amelie faced a tough defeat in the mixed doubles final after an intense three-set match against the Japanese pair, Hiroki Midorikawa and Natsu Saito.[1] A few months later in the same year, Thyrri and Amelie once again reached the mixed doubles final, this time at the 2023 US Open. However, they were once again defeated in a three-set match, this time by the Taiwanese pair Lee Chia-hsin and Ye Hong-wei.[2]
At the 2024 European Badminton Championships, Thyrri and Amelie reached the semifinals in the mixed doubles event, but their journey ended after losing to the French pair, Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, in a three-set match.[3] In the same year, Thyrri was part of the Danish men's national team that won the gold medal in 2024 Men's Team in Lodz after defeating France in the final.[4]
