Kinda Li Ka-tat (Chinese: 李嘉達; born 1991) is a Hong Kong social activist and politician. He is a current member of Kwun Tong District Council for Hip Hong.
Li was graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor degree in Social Work. He became a registered social worker and obtained a master degree in Art Therapy. Inspired by the Umbrella Revolution, he set up a local group called the Civic Autonomy Power with some other social work students in Sau Mau Ping to devote into community services in the district.
In 2019, he ran against National People's Congress deputy and Kwun Tong District Council chairman Bunny Chan in Hip Hong in the District Council election. Riding with the pro-democracy tsunami amid the anti-extradition protests, Li defeated Chan with 2,612 to 2,329 votes and was elected to the Kwun Tong District Council.
Li ran in the pro-democracy primaries for the 2020 Legislative Council election in Kowloon East constituency. He received 15,194 votes in total, surpassing veteran democrat Wu Chi-wai of the Democratic Party and was nominated as one of the five candidates in the general election.[1]
