Jabara or Citrus jabara (ja:ジャバラ) refers to the plant and fruit of the Japanese citrus family.

The botanical abbreviation author is Chōzaburō Tanaka.

'Jabara' is a fruit similar to the yuzu. It is favored in Wakayama Prefecture for the flavonoid called narirutin, the active chemical which has been shown to diminish the effects of pollen allergies.[1][2]

In 1990, the fruit juice of 'Jabara' was studied in 'Nippon Shokubin Kogyo Gakkaishi' "Quality characteristics of Jabara (citrus jabara Hort ex Tanaka) and Yuzu (citrus junos Sieb. ex Tanaka) Vol 37, 346-354.[3]

An extract an be made from the pericarp of 'citrus jabara' for treating skin conditions and as a humectant.[4]
