JTR are a Swedish boy band made up of three brothers John Lundback (born 1990), Tom Lundback (born 1993) and Robin Lundback (born 1994).[1][2] The band's name is made up of the first letters of their given names John, Tom and Robin.

They appeared on the fifth series of The X Factor Australia a few months after getting established in Australia. The fifth season of the Australian show premiered on the Seven Network on 29 July 2013. JTR finished seventh after being eliminated on 30 September 2013 of the show. Their debut album is Touchdown with "Ride" being their debut single. The album has charted both in Australia and Sweden.

In Australian X Factor

JTR are originally from Sweden and the published some of their materials online starting in 2012. As their mother, after her divorce had remarried and had moved to Australia, the boys spent their time for almost eight years between Sweden where their father stayed and their mother in Australia and residing in Cornubia, Queensland.

They had reportedly just arrived the day they were scheduled to perform on Australian X Factor where they auditioned with the Justin Bieber song "As Long as You Love Me".[1] JTR landed in the final showdown in week three with Barry Southgate after receiving the fewest public votes, but were saved by judges Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Redfoo.[3] with contestant Barry Southgate being sent home.

JTR were in the final showdown again in week four with Ellie Lovegrove, and after the judges decision went to deadlock. It was revealed that Lovegrove had received the fewest votes and was eliminated with JTR being saved yet again.[4] JTR were eventually eliminated from the competition in week six after performing "MMMBop", after judges Ronan Keating, Dannii Minogue and Redfoo chose to save Third Degree instead.[5] JTR finished seventh overall for season 5 of the Australian talent show in 2013.

Performances

After X Factor

JTR proved popular despite their early elimination. Their debut single "Ride" was released on 3 February 2014, through Trinity Records.[6] and their debut studio album Touchdown followed on 7 March 2014,[7] and debuted at number 44 on the ARIA Albums Chart.[8] The album was named after "Touchdown", a song composed by the three brothers and published online in 2012 on Jul 22, 2012.

With the release of their album, they also toured their home country Sweden with their album Touchdown through Sony Music Sweden. Their album Touchdown charted in their home country Sweden on Sverigetopplistan as well as in Australian ARIA Charts.
