National Science Complex[1]The National Science Complex (NSC), located on a 21.9–hectare lot in the University of the Philippines Diliman, is envisioned to serve as the Philippines' national hub for the generation and application of new scientific knowledge in the natural and applied sciences and mathematics.[2]he National Science Complex (NSC) marker in the NSC Amphitheater was unveiled by UP President Emerlinda Roman and Chancellor Sergio Cao on 2 February 2011 at 8 am. Among those who attended in the program were Incoming UP President Alfredo Pascual, Senator and Regent Edgardo Angara, Regent Magdaleno Albaraccin, Regent Clodualdo Cabrera, Congressman Luis Villafuerte, DOST Secretary Mario Montejo, former DOST Secretary Estrella Alabastro, former College of Science Dean Roger Posadas, and University Student Council Chair Rainier Sindayen. The College of Science was established as autonomous college of UP Diliman on 6 October 1983 during the term of UP President Edgardo Angara. The terms of President Roman and Chancelor Cao will end on 9 February 2011 and 28 February 2011, respectively. The National Science Complex was created by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo[3] through an executive order (EO 583).
