DescriptionElvis Presley first national television appearance 1956.jpg
This is the photo sent out by the CBS television program Stage Show to promote the first national television appearance of Elvis Presley on January 28, 1956. The show was hosted by the Dorsey Brothers, who had patched up their long-standing family feud. The program was hosted one week by Jimmy Dorsey and the following one, by Tommy. The death of Tommy Dorsey, in November 1956, put an end to the variety program.
