Mammoth Pictures is an American film production company founded in 2015 by filmmakers Kourosh Ahari and Alex Bretow, who later added Alexis Brontë to its ownership. The company focuses on producing genre films. It produced The Night.
Mammoth Pictures was established in 2015 by filmmakers Kourosh Ahari and Alex Bretow. Alexis Brontë joined the company as Head of Development and partner in 2021. It co-produced The Night.[1] The deal for the movie was negotiated by IFC Films, Mammoth Pictures, and Indie Entertainment.[2]
In August 2022, Mammoth Pictures acquired the rights to adapt the bestselling Korean novella Diary of a Murderer by Korean author Young-ha Kim into a feature film. The film will be directed by Ahari and written by Henry Chaisson, with Bretow and Brontë serving as producers for Mammoth.[3]
In 2023, Mammoth Pictures also produced Parallel, a sci-fi thriller directed by Kourosh Ahari and released theatrically by Vertical Entertainment.[4]
