Former Latin Catholic (arch)bishoprics in France which have been suppressed, dismembered, merged into another, promoted or demoted.

Italics indicate redirects, usually to successor jurisdictions. Most of these dioceses were suppressed following the French Revolution, which brought a major tidying-up of diocesan structure in France after the Concordat of 1801. Following that, modern French dioceses are largely congruent with départments. There have, however, been other organisational changes, most recently in 2002.
