Calamotropha anticella is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Walker in 1866.[1] It is found in South Africa,[2] and Sri Lanka.[3]
Wingspan is about 24-26mm. In male, head and thorax greyish, suffused with coppery brown. Abdomen whitish. Fore wings with costal and inner areas grey irrorated with fuscous. The median area streaked with coppery brown. A black speck found at origin of vein 2. A postmedial line excureved from costa to vein 6, then reduced to a specks series. The interspaces of outer area streaked with white. A marginal black specks series present. Hind wings white slightly tinged with brown. Female with pure white hind wings.[4]
