Angus and Perthshire Glens is a proposed county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom used at the next United Kingdom general election. It will elect one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.[1]

Boundaries

As a result of the Sixth Periodical Review of the Boundary Commission for Scotland, the constituency will cover northern parts of the Perth and Kinross and Angus Council areas.[2]

It includes the Highland, Strathtay, Strathmore, and Blairgowrie & Glens wards from Perth and Kinross; and the Brechin & Edzell, Montrose & District, Forfar & District, and Kirriemuir & Dean wards from Angus.[3]

The boundaries are very similar to the old North Tayside parliamentary constituency, which was a safe Conservative seat from its creation at the 1983 United Kingdom general election until being won by the SNP in 1997.
